SOLUTIONS FOR CORROSION AND FOULING MANAGEMENT IN WATER INSTALLATIONS
On 9th of March, the Catalan Water Partnership organised a webinar to present solutions for the management of corrosion and scaling in water installations. Firstly, Carles Pallé, from the company Carburos Metalicos, presented how CO2 is a safer and more sustainable way of neutralising pH in water treatment plants, and the simulation of its dosing using practical application software. Secondly, Oriol Gutiérrez, ICRA researcher, presented digital tools to control corrosion in urban sanitation systems, among which he presented the GESTOR project. Finally, the CEO of Hidrotec, Xavier Yagüe, introduced the rehabilitation of sanitation water infrastructures affected by corrosion.
