INTERNATIONALISATION ACTIVITIES IN MEXICO, USA AND SOUTH AFRICA WITH THE CWP

CWP is part of a consortium of 5 European clusters that is carrying out the  wellianceHOSPITALITY project to support SMEs to internationalise in the markets of Mexico, South Africa and the United States. Within the framework of this project, funded by the EU COSME programme (2014-2020, Grant Agreement No.951165), several activities have been carried out in the last months of January and February in order to allow SMEs from the clusters to know the opportunities and strategies to enter the different markets.

In this sense, on 28th January, 4th and 11th February, informative webinars were held for the markets of Mexico, USA and South Africa, respectively, with the participation of the international consultant David Cámara and round tables with international guests from the three markets. Subsequently, on the 15th of February and until the 26th, the INTERIHOTEL virtual fair took place, organised by the leader of the welliance project (the CENFIM cluster), where, within the framework of the welliance project, specific working groups were organised for each market on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of February, where cluster members that were able to present their companies as well as share experiences and learn about market entry strategies from invited stakeholders from the three countries. In parallel to these activities, cluster members were able to hold B2B meetings with relevant companies and stakeholders from each market.

During the rest of this year 2021 and most of 2022, we will continue to hold conferences, meetings and activities related to internationalisation in these three markets in order to finally organise direct missions to the three countries, for which cluster members will be able to benefit from financial aid for both travel and participation in shared stands at relevant fairs.
