CWP’s activity plan
CWP has an activity plan that encompasses the services we provide for our cluster partners. Within these services detailed in the activity plan, we distinguish projects and activities.Currently, CWP’s plan of activities towards its partners is organized in these areas of activity:
INNOVATION
Facilitate access to instruments and funding, as well as the promotion of new cooperative R+D+i projects in order to improve the competitiveness of CWP companies and knowledge centers at Catalan, state and European level. From the cluster we coordinate projects, promote the transferability of research results and help connect technological supply with business demand.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Increase the international presence of CWP companies, diversify the markets and businesses where they are currently present. We carry out market studies in sectors of wide interest to members. Likewise, cooperative projects are also promoted between CWP companies and with other clusters to increase their competitiveness (Food, Chemicals, Tourism, Mining, etc.)
VISIBILITY & POSITIONING
Give visibility to the CWP and its companies at national and international level with the aim of being a benchmark in the sustainable use of water sector. We organize webinars, conferences and outreach material to help members connect with business and knowledge opportunities.
NETWORKING
Facilitate knowledge and relationships between companies and entities in the water sector with the aim of increasing cooperation. We participate in the main networks of water clusters and associations in Spain and Europe, and we actively collaborate with other water clusters around the world.
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
Advantages for accessing the training of the main centers of knowledge in Catalonia, participation in working groups, information of strategic relevance for the company, among others.
CWP Projects
Various activities in some cases become projects that we segment according to the type of objective to be achievedSEACURE
The SEACURE project, led by the BETA Technology Centre of the UVic-UCC and funded by the Horizon Europe programme, addresses nutrient pollution (nitrogen and phosphorus) in the soil-river-sea system of the Mediterranean. This problem, caused by the excess of agricultural fertilisers and wastewater treatment plant effluents, contributes to the eutrophication of water bodies, causing algae…

INVASOR-ES
The INVASOR-ES project aims to develop advanced technological solutions to combat invasive alien species (IAS) in hydraulic infrastructures, especially in irrigation systems. These species, such as zebra mussels, apple snails and bryozoans, generate serious infrastructure problems: obstructions, breakdowns, high maintenance costs and loss of agricultural productivity. The development of this project will be an opportunity…

Creation of an operational group for the study of the collection of rainwater runoff by ponds in a natural environment for dryland woody crops
The lack of water emerges as a first-order threat to the survival and future viability of crops, particularly and significantly affecting woody crops in rainfed areas. As the impacts of climate change become more evident, the availability of water is reduced, endangering not only immediate production but also the continuity of agricultural operations in these…
