TWO CWP MEMBERS WIN THIRD AND FIRST PRIZE IN THE ACA CHALLENGE

On 28th January, the awards ceremony was held for the 7th edition of the SmartCatalonia Challenge, a competition promoted by the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya to resell territorial spare parts in Catalonia.

In addition, and with the collaboration of the Catalan Water Agency, the competition focused on the digital transformation of water management to resell 4 spare parts defined by the ACA.

AMPHOS 21  was the company that won the first prize of the Challenge with the early warning system for detecting the presence of pollutants in water based on Machine Learning, which aims to solve challenge 3 of pollutant treatment, and was presented by Ester Vilanova.

In third place, the spin-off HYDS  won 3rd prize in the framework of Challenge 1 on optimisation of water consumption in agriculture, with the OPTIREG proposal, which provides continuous and optimised knowledge of the availability and demand for water in the region, presented by Xavier Llort.

It is also worth mentioning Createch360, which was among the 10 finalists with the GREENENENERGYcat proposal presented by Àngel Freixó, a centralised intelligent monitoring system for managing the consumption and production of renewable energies in WWTPs within the framework of Challenge 4 to promote the consumption of renewable energies.
