FIRST SESSION OF THE WORKING GROUP ON ODS AND CSR AND SHARED VALUE

Last 18th of May 2021 the first session of the Working Group on SDGs, Shared Value and CSR in the water sector promoted by CWP took place, which was attended by around 20 CWP members, from companies operating in the water cycle, consultancies and product manufacturers in the water sector.

Carlos Pons, Technical Consultant for Corporate Sustainability at Anthesis Lavola presented the trends in the sector, including Water4.0 and water cycle circularity among many others, as well as the priority SDGs, directly or indirectly, for the water sector and various initiatives to contribute to their achievement.

Then, Miriam Porres, CSR and Compliance Director at Sorigué, shared various initiatives carried out by Sorigué, as well as the experience of having participated in the ACCIÓ project to measure the social and environmental impact of the company and the contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the B Corp tools. Enric Queralt, CEO of the spin-off Bluephage, then spoke to explain his experience in the BCorp certification that they have achieved this 2021. Finally, there was time for questions and discussion among the participants, as well as proposals for future activities or initiatives.
