ACCIÓ AND CWP WITH THE COLLABORATION OF ISERN HELD THE DAY ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY APPLIED TO THE WATER SECTOR

Last May 25, the University of Barcelona hosted the “Intellectual property conference applied to the water sector” at its Faculty of Physics and Chemistry. The event was organized by the CWP together with ACCIÓ and aimed to raise awareness among the representatives of participating companies and entities in the water sector of the importance of protecting property and exploitation rights. It was also an opportunity to share tips and best practices for patenting and registration. The start of the event took place with the presentation by Joan Sansaloni, leader of ACCIÓ’s Industrial and Intellectual Protection Unit, highlighting the growing importance and general trends in relation to property protection industrial and intellectual. Next, several representatives of the company ISERN Patentes y Marcas presented success stories and points of view on how the protection of industrial and intellectual property is developed in the water sector in particular. The day continued with the case of AGBAR in AI management by DCK Studio and concluded with a presentation of ACCIÓ’s PII program by Glòria Serrano, senior consultant of the Industrial and Intellectual Protection Unit of ACTION.
