THE DAY “WATER AND CELLAR: HOW TO ACT IN THE FACE OF THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY ON WATER IN CELLARS” IS HELD

Yesterday, May 24, the INNOVI cluster together with Sant Sadurní City Council, INNOVI and the Catalan Water Partnership organized the “Water and Cellar Day: How to act in the face of the climate emergency in the water in the cellars” at the ‘Espai Cava de Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. During the day, several workshops were organized with experts and wine companies that served to learn about and debate the initiatives and strategies to deal with water consumption restrictions at an industrial level due to the current context of drought. The welcome to the session was given by Mr. Jaume Gramona, president and technical director of Gramona, and Mr. Carles del Amor, councilor for the environment of Sant Sadurní City Council. Next, Xavier Amores, cluster manager of the CWP, presented “Water management and innovation in a context of water emergency” and immediately afterwards, the water situation in Sant Sadurní was also presented by the community manager Mine and Health Water (Amando Lacorte). We want to highlight from the day, the interested round tables that were held, on the one hand, with wineries in the area (Gramona, Recaredo, Sumarroca and Vilarnau) where they exposed the improvements in terms of water management that have been implementing during these years, as the round table of experts in solutions together with Agustí Figueres from ABM, Lluis Baldi, from CIM Aigua, Joan Solà, from Geoservei and David Miravet, from Createch360.
