NEW STRATEGIES TO PROMOTE WATER REUSE IN THE AGRI-FOOD SECTOR THE SECOND WEBINAR OF AGRO&WATER
The second Agro&Aigua webinar, funded by the Euroregió Pirineus Mediterrània, was held on the 28th of October to present new strategies to promote the reuse of water in the agri-food sector. The introduction was given by Nicolas NguyenThe, Delegate for European projects of AgriSOI, Tanit Mir, Director of BIOIB_Cluster, and Eric Santos, Project Manager of CWP.
The webinar consisted of two lectures, one of which dealt with presenting new strategies to promote water reuse in the livestock and agri-food sectors within the framework of the AccelWater and Fertimanure projects and was presented by Lidia Paredes, Senior Researcher at the BETA Technology Centre. This was followed by a series of 7 pitch presentations, in which three companies associated with the CWP participated. Sofia Grau, Project Manager Innovation Department DAM, presented the project NUTRIMANnetwork: Recovery of nutrients from wastewater for application in agriculture. Laurent Pouget, Project Manager of CETAQUA, presented improvements in the planning and operation of water reuse systems for agriculture: solutions of the PRIMA MAGO project. Finally, David Martínez, Western Andalusia Delegate of Regaber, presented the Optimisation of the use of reclaimed water for the irrigation of olive groves in the framework of the #REUTIVAR project.
