2ND AQUAGIS WEBINAR: DIGITAL AND WATER SOLUTIONS FOR THE CANNING SECTOR

The second webinar of the AquaGIS project took place on 30 March.  Eurecat, CIM Aigua and Phytocontrol presented successful cases of analytical techniques, circular economy and treatment systems applied to the canning sector. The webinar was attended by more than 30 people from among the food companies associated with the GAIA, VITARTIS and NAGRIFOOD clusters.

The first success story was presented by Xavier Martínez, Eurecat, the LIFE SOLIEVA project, which applies the circular economy to treat the brine from olive processing. Next, Lluís Baldi, CIM Aigua, presented an optimised water treatment system for food processing and packaging industries. Finally, Amanda Ramírez, Phytocontrol, presented an innovative analytical solution that improves the quantification of diticarbomats in food.
