THE CWP AT THE CONFERENCE “THE RECOVERY PLAN AND PYMES: CLUSTERS AS A SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR THE BUSINESS SECTOR”.
On Monday May 30th, the conference “The recovery plan and pymes: clusters as a support programme for the business sector” organised by the Directorate General for Industry and PYME was held in Barcelona. The event was opened with speeches by Nuria Marín, President of the Diputació de Barcelona, Jaume Coll Boni, First Deputy Mayor of Barcelona and María Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism. It is worth highlighting the presence of the director of the CWP, Xavier Amores, in the round table that was held under the name of “Four success stories of business clusters/clusters” where he presented the success story of the entity. The round table was moderated by Raül Blanco and was also attended by Eugenia Sillero, general secretary of the Gasnam cluster, Alba García, manager of the i+Porc cluster and Tomás Iriondo, general director of the GAIA cluster. Throughout the event, the importance of clusters in the development of the economy in small and medium-sized enterprises was highlighted, especially in times of crisis. Topics such as climate change, ecological and energy transition, circular economy, digitalisation and the importance of investing in R&D were always present.
