THE CATALAN WATER PARTNERSHIP REACHES A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH ADVANCED FACTORIES TO PROMOTE INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

The leading industrial automation event will be held for the sixth time from the 29th to the 31st of March 2022 in Barcelona with the aim of helping to reduce the digitalisation gap between large manufacturing companies and SMEs.

With this objective in mind, the Catalan Water Partnership has established a collaboration agreement with the event in which more than 300 exhibiting companies will present the latest solutions in automation, robotics, Industry 4.0 and 3D Printing to industrial professionals.

Advanced Factories returns to Barcelona in March 2022 to lead the way in industrial automation. After five editions, the event has established itself as a unique event in southern Europe for industrial automation and robotics. At a time when industry is in an expansionary phase – industrial prices have risen at their highest rate in 38 years this June – the great challenge now is to close the gap between the large manufacturing companies and the SMEs that are not yet incorporating automation systems into their production processes. This is why Advanced Factories has become the key event for promoting automation and digitisation in factories, and the Catalan Water Partnership wants to make it easy for all its associate members to participate in this next edition from the 29th to the 31st of March 2022.

More than 17,000 industrial professionals are looking for an industrial and technological partner to incorporate new and better solutions and get the maximum performance out of their factories. “We are in a favourable moment for industry. Moreover, the arrival of the European NextGenerationEU Funds will help to definitively boost the digitisation of industrial companies, to generate a real change in the production model and to quickly reactivate the economy”, says Albert Planas, CEO of Advanced Factories.

On this stage, Advanced Factories is a unique platform for innovation where more than 300 leading exhibitors will present their latest solutions in industrial automation systems, robotics, industrial software, artificial intelligence, artificial vision and virtual simulation, data analytics, IoT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, machine learning and all the 4.0 technologies associated with Digital Manufacturing.

Industry 4.0 Congress, the largest congress to transform the industrial sector

As part of Advanced Factories, the Industry 4.0 Congress will be held once again, the largest congress in southern Europe to discover the latest trends in the industrial sector. “This year more than ever, the congress will be a real revolution for industrial professionals, where we will present success stories, industrial experiences and trends that will mark the coming years”, highlights Òscar Íñigo, director of the Industry 4.0 Congress.

This year, the congress will feature two new summits: the Plant Managers Summit – dedicated to all plant managers in industrial factories – and the Artificial Intelligence Forum – focused on raising awareness of the opportunities offered by this technology to the sector. Also taking place once again will be the CIO’s Summit, the National Congress of Industrial Park Managers, and the Industrial Cybersecurity Forum, as well as different networking events such as the Leadership Summit, the Factories of the Future Awards 2022, the Industry Startup Forum, the Additive Manufacturing Forum and the Talent Marketplace.

The Catalan Water Partnership encourages all professionals in the sector to keep an eye on the event’s website and social networks, as the call for applications to participate as speakers at the Industry 4.0 Congress will be open soon. In total, more than 100 hours of lectures by 280 experts will be able to share their knowledge and experience to increase the competitiveness of different industry segments: automotive, aeronautics, pharmaceutical, food, electronics, textile, railway, and metal and steel.

The entities associated to the cluster can enjoy a discount for the tickets of the Advanced Factories, more information at  comunicacio@cwp.cat.
