In the past, the CWP took part in a webinar aimed at the hotel sector organized by the Barcelona Hotel Association, with the aim of continuing to optimize water consumption in the hotel sector and reduce water consumption.
The organization of the day was based on the publication of the aid line intended to promote water saving and reuse projects in tourist establishments of the General Directorate of Tourism. The current context of drought affects the tourism sector very directly, which will be forced to take measures to be able to face the next summer in order to comply with the regulations that imply the state of emergency that affects those localities of the Ter-Llobregat system .
Lucia Gusmaroli, European projects area manager of the CWP, made known the current drought situation, the main challenges related to the use of water in tourist facilities and examples of technologies and success stories applicable to the sector . The advice given by the cluster becomes relevant after the publication of the helpline.
