The CWP participates in the IFAT Munich 2024 fair with five associates

Once again, the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) has been present at the IFAT Munich 2024 fair, held from May 13 to 17 in Germany, with a grouped stand. In this edition, the five companies that were part of the shared stand were Bluephage, Keiken Engineering, WTRgies, UFBAF and Eurecat.

During the fair, the CWP team visited the stands of its partners with their own stand, such as Cimico, Createch360, Hydroo, SIGMADAF and Adasa. The latter organized talks on innovation, presenting the Vecoli R&D project, led by the CWP and financed by ACCIÓ.

In addition, the CWP team met with several visiting partners and international partners. Lucia Gusmaroli, European Projects Area Manager of the CWP, presented on the Green Stage the European project Sea4Value, funded by the Horizon 2020 program. This project aims to develop and implement innovative technologies for the recovery of minerals and metals from desalination brines . In his presentation, he highlighted the role of clusters in connecting technological innovation with stakeholders and end users, as well as their role in open innovation to promote the circular economy.

The CWP also met with numerous clusters in Europe and around the world with which it collaborates, such as The Water Council (Wisconsin, USA), Water Alliance (Netherlands), Clean (Denmark), Ecoliance (Germany ), CREA Hydro&Energy (Czech Republic), HYDREOS (France), ClusterH2O (Belgium), Water Cluster Finland (Finland) and Cleveland Water Alliance (Ohio, USA). New collaboration synergies were explored to face joint challenges in the sector, such as resilience to climate change, the presence of micro-pollutants in water bodies and water management.

The 2024 edition of the fair marked a record attendance, with 142,000 visitors from 170 countries and regions, and more than 3,200 exhibitors from 61 countries. Once again, IFAT Munich is consolidating itself as the reference fair in the water and waste management sector. The CWP will soon participate in the Singapore International Water Week, which will take place in Singapore from 19 to 23 June, with a joint stand with SIGMADAF and Unex.
