The CWP participates in l’EFISport d’INDESCAT, a benchmark event in the esports sector in energy efficiency in sports facilities
The 13th of March is the end of the 11th day of the Energy Efficiency in Sports Facilities, organized by INDESCAT, the cluster of the sports industry, with the collaboration of the Catalan Water Partnership, the Bioenergy Cluster Catalonia and the Efficient Energy Cluster of Catalonia. It will include the participation of more than 170 professional participants from the sports and energy installations sectors.
The event, celebrated in person at the INEFC of Barcelona, was aimed at donating information and discussing new data and measures for energy efficiency in the management of private and public sports facilities.
Xavier Amores, director of the CWP, will participate at the end of the inaugural presentation and will explain the drought situation in Catalonia and present examples from other countries of the world that also cause water stress, as it affects the sports industry. com has been managed throughout the month. Next, the first edition of the EFISport Open Innovation Challange will conclude, with the objective of proposing innovative solutions to the question: How can we decarbonize sports facilities?
After a short networking break, three workshops will be held to finalize the action. The first on artificial gespa will analyze possible future solutions for the prohibition of micro plastics. The second will explain how digitalization can help sports facilities become more energy efficient. Finally, the last workshop aims to address the use of geothermal energy in sports facilities as an alternative to fossil fuels.
