The Catalan Water Partnership launches the “Catalog of Services and Solutions for Drought” by the cluster’s members.
- The high demand for information from various sectors about the services offered by the entities associated with the CWP has led to the creation of a catalog of services and specific solutions for drought.
- The aim of this document is to serve as an informational tool so that all companies, organizations, or entities can be aware of the mapping of available solutions and have the necessary information to contact them.
The Catalan Water Partnership, the cluster for sustainable water use, has launched an initiative that brings together in a catalog all the services and solutions for drought offered by the entities associated with the cluster. This proposal arises in response to an increase in inquiries from water-using companies, entities from various sectors, and public administrations, among others, who seek recommendations to address challenges related to efficient water management in the current drought context, as well as services and technologies developed by entities associated with the cluster. The aim of this document is to become an informational tool so that all companies, organizations, or entities can be aware of the available solutions and have the necessary information to contact them.
In the catalog, you can find services and solutions classified into categories: water audits and consulting, water footprint calculation tools, products and solutions for process savings; solutions for reuse, effluent regeneration, and advanced water treatments; groundwater treatment and conditioning, rainwater conditioning, desalination systems, and digitization technologies—leakage calculation and control, planning and GIS, sensorization and monitoring, and intelligent control systems. Each category includes a brief description of the types of services and solutions, the entities that offer these solutions along with a contact email, and the service’s area of application, distinguishing between the industrial, tourism, services, or public administration sectors.
A section on training and awareness has also been included, understanding education and training as a fundamental pillar for both professionals and citizens, especially in the context of water scarcity. This allows for a better understanding of the challenges, provides specialized knowledge to manage the water cycle efficiently, promotes best practices, and encourages a responsible and conscious use of water resources.
One of the CWP’s strategies to achieve its objectives is to promote R&D&I projects. Since 2008, the number of ongoing projects has been steadily increasing, taking on projects with greater impact. Thus, the catalog also includes those projects related to the sustainable use of water and drought management.
Currently, 52 out of the 156 companies associated with the CWP are participating in the catalog, and within a month, the document has achieved over 250 downloads. You can download the catalog from the CWP website.
