Participation in the conference “Innovation in the digitalization of the water cycle within the PERTE framework: challenges and lessons learned” organized by Aigües de Manresa
On May 8th and 9th, Aigües de Manresa hosted the event “Innovation in the digitalization of the water cycle within the PERTE framework: challenges and lessons learned”, as part of its water cycle digitalization project. The conference brought together experts and representatives from across Spain to share experiences and present projects linked to the PERTE program, a key initiative to promote modernization and sustainability in the sector.
Over the two-day program, innovative technologies and practical case studies were presented, with active participation from organizations such as Taigua, Consorci Besòs Tordera, Consorci d’Aigues de Tarragona, Aqualia, Acciona, Aigües de Barcelona, Aigües de Manresa i Ens d’Abastament de’Aigua Ter-Llobregat. The agenda also featured two roundtables: the first focused on climate change adaptation, and the second on digitalization and innovation. Key speakers included Antoni Ventura (Aigües de Manresa), Javier Francisco Sánchez (MITECO), Jesús Maza (AEAS), Guida Obrador (Diputació de Barcelona), Irene Jubany (Eurecat), Xavier Amores (CWP) i d’Esther Costa (Aigües de Manresa) as moderator.
The event highlighted the crucial role of digitalization in advancing towards a more efficient and resilient water management model, while stressing the importance of collaboration between operators, public administrations and research centers to face climate change challenges and ensure a sustainable future.
