TRANS-REGIONAL INITIATIVE FOR WATER MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOODS

On 15th July, the webinar “Transregional initiative for water management in agriculture and agri-food” was held within the framework of the Agro&Aigua project financed by the Euroregió Pirineus Mediterrània, which was attended by more than 80 participants.

Xavier Bernard Sanz welcomed the participants and presented the projects in which the Euroregion is involved, including Wat’savereuse. Afterwards, the clusters leading the project were presented: Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation (France), BioIB (Balearic Islands) and finally CWP, which was presented by Eric Santos.

This was followed by various presentations by entities operating in the agri-food sector and companies associated with the clusters. Among them, we highlight the participation of Alberto Blanco, HVAC & Water Business Development Manager at ABB , who presented “How to increase the productivity of irrigation by means of a solar pump inverter: case study of pistatxo cultivation”, Alberto Hernández, Export Manager at ITC, who spoke about irrigation and IOT, and finally Luis Navarro, Business Development Manager at Hach, who presented “Sensors for continuous control of water quality for irrigation”.

After the webinar and a Q&A session, the day continued with a B2B meeting session where more than 20 companies and organisations were able to have individual virtual meetings with the participants of the day.
