WATER AUDITS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS IN MUNICIPAL WATER SERVICES

On the 29th of June the CWP organised a webinar on Water Audits and Key Performance Indicators in Municipal Water Services. It brought together experts from the different areas that are included or related to this topic.

The Director of the Water Supply Area of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), Jordi Molist, opened the day with a presentation on the regulatory framework and the criteria planning guide for audits of the entity. Afterwards, Enrique Cabrera, Professor of the UPV and Vice-president of the IWA, presented 9 key aspects in the use of indicators for the good performance of urban water services. The second part of the event was led by Robert Rosell, Head of Contracts at Aqualia‘s Girona Centre, who presented the business perspective and the tools and platforms for improving network management. Teresa Peñalba, Head of Infrastructure Development, Consorci d’Aigües de Gipuzkoa, closed the conference by sharing the experience and success stories of the low-flow water management of 58 of the municipalities managed by the organisation. The event concluded with a round table discussion among the attendees and was attended by more than 50 people.
