Participation in the conference “Water management in a context of water emergency” organized by the Sabadell City Council
Passat March 12 is the end of the day “Water Management in a Water Emergency Context” organized by the Sabadell City Council with the collaboration of the Catalan Water Partnership and the Barcelona Provincial Council, Aigües de Sabadell, the Next Generation d’ACCIÓ Office of the Generalitat and the consulting firm ABM.
This day will see the declaration of the emergency status for hydrological drought to the exploitation units of the Ter-Llobregat embassy. Sabadell is one of the 202 municipalities that depend on this system and the objective of the day is focused on informing the companies of the municipality of the implications of the emergency phase, sharing good practices in the efficiency of the water explain financial options of these types of initiatives.
They will participate with different speakers who will be able to provide information to satisfy the information needs of the day. Among them, Xavier Amores, director of the CWP, will present the current scenario of water stress in Catalonia and those sectors that are directly affected. He will also address the success cases of the great sequeres of Singapore and California in water management. Also, Narcís Pi, from ABM, will participate explaining measures for increasing efficiency in the use of water to companies.
Lluís Jordan, from Aigües de Sabdadell, and Oriol Ferrer, from the Water Office, will intervene, to highlight the exemplarity of Sabadell and the regeneration as a solution. Cinthya Villafaña, from the ACCIÓ Next Generation Office, will present efficiency projects involving Next Generation adjustments for Catalan companies.
