CWP PARTICIPATES IN THE WAT’SAVEREUSE WORKSHOP FOR CITY COUNCILS

On May 2nd, a Workshop was organised by the ACA with the collaboration of CWP and Eurecat and addressed to municipalities and operators to promote water saving and reuse in the tourism sector within the framework of the LIFE Wat’savereuse project. The session was opened with the institutional welcome by Ms. Mar León i Parull, Manager of the ACA, and Xavier Bernard-Sans, Director General of the Euroregion Pyrenees Mediterranean and coordinator of the project. Xavier Amores, director of the CWP, then presented three technical documents to promote sustainable water management in tourist establishments: two water management plans, drawn up for the private and public tourism sector, comprising success stories, and a catalogue of technologies and solutions for water saving and reuse. These documents, aimed at tourist establishments of all kinds, are available on the project’s website. Afterwards, Montserrat Alomà Masana, Head of the ACA’s Department of Communication and Institutional Relations, presented the awareness campaign “Take back memories, not water” aimed at tourists. The event ended with a speech by the Deputy Director General of Territorial Tourism Development, Ms. Carme Rubió.
