THE CONFERENCE “THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE USE OF WATER, A CURRENT CHALLENGE FOR THE TOURISM SECTOR” IN WHICH THE CWP PARTICIPATED WAS ORGANIZED BY LABIIT AND VARIOUS AGENTS LINKED TO TOURISM
On Wednesday, May 31, the CWP participated in the conference entitled “The impact of climate change on the use of water, a current challenge in the tourism sector”, which took place in Deltebre. The conference was organized by the Tourism Innovation and Intelligence Laboratory of the Eurecat Tourism Innovation Department (LABIIT) in collaboration with various agents linked to tourism and sustainability in the province of Tarragona. Sergi Compte, Area Manager of R+D, presented the general trends linked to the water-tourism nexus, and several of the innovation projects linked to this sector, along with various technologies from the entities associated with the CWP. The day was a meeting point for representatives of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, various tourism boards, researchers and entities linked to the hotel sector. It became a space for exchanging ideas and proposals and also raising awareness in the tourism sector of the needs in terms of water management, in the current context of scarcity.
