Ainia is organises a day to highlight the importance of technological innovation to deal with climate change where Xavier Amores participated as a speaker

Last September 19th, Ainia held the conference “Integral management of the water cycle: VI international technical seminar” where the objective was to highlight the role of technological innovation in order to face the challenges posed by global warming The challenges arising from socio-economic pacts such as the Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development were also highlighted.

The day was divided into different panels where different topics were discussed, specifically the director of the CWP, Xavier Amores, participated in what was discussed about the problem and current situation of water. He spoke about the drought situation, the challenges for economic activities and cases of success and applied innovation. He was able to share the knowledge acquired through the experience lived in recent years with the water emergency situation and emphasized that innovation and collaboration are part of the solution.

In the panel also participated Domingo Zarzo, president of the Spanish Association of Desalination and Reuse, Fran Alonso, director of the water and bioenergy area of ​​GPT Renewables and also RNB Cosméticos. The round table was moderated by Jorge García, environment department of AINIA.
