The SMARTH2OTEL project as a whole aims to study and develop digital and innovative solutions for the efficient and sustainable management of the water cycle in tourist establishments. In the current second phase of the project, SMARTH2OTEL 2.0, it is intended to consolidate the experimental data of the solutions studied in phase 1, of early detection of legionella and advanced waste water treatment technologies that would allow the reuse of water In addition, this phase will allow the integration of the main water and energy systems of a pilot tourist establishment in a Cloud platform using sensors and control devices, moving towards the implementation of a decision support system (SAD) .
The project addresses the management of the water and energy cycle from a global perspective, facing the main water and energy challenges of the tourism sector. The technological solutions to be provided include:
The third and last phase of the project will consist of the experimental development on a pilot scale in a real tourist establishment, where the technology studied in the two previous phases will be validated. The final objective will be to optimize the management of the water cycle by incorporating the different technological and digital solutions contemplated in the previous phases.
