Air pollution is becoming a growing concern due to its effects on human health and ecosystems. Currently, strategies are being adopted to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent the effects of climate change. In this sense, water management is an influencing factor in the emissions of these gases in cities. It is for this reason that the atmosphAIr project was born, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the waste water sector.
AtmosphAIr is configured as an industrial research project for the study of the generation, prediction and minimization of atmospheric pollutants in sanitation systems using artificial intelligence tools. It is a collaborative project of Digital Technologies in order to generate knowledge and lay the foundations for the development of a future digital platform that allows real-time control as well as the future prediction of the generation and emission of atmospheric pollutants (odorous and greenhouse gases) in the WWTP of Torredembarra. In this sense, AtmosphAir intends to have three phases, the first as an industrial research project while the two subsequent phases will continue to develop and implement the tools defined above in the study treatment plant.
Generate knowledge and lay the foundations for the development of a future digital platform that allows both control and prediction of the generation and emission of atmospheric pollutants.
