AguAlearn aims to develop an innovative platform for early warning of the quality of groundwater in the Llobregat delta area with a dual purpose: to identify the most suitable point to minimise the entry of pollutants and to predict the presence of specific pollutants based on the results of low-cost routine analyses. This tool is based on an algorithm and a predictive model based on Machine Learning that, from historical data, allows to relate variables and thus predict the presence of pollutants. The engine will be integrated into a risk management programme with early warning alerts developed in open source. This project will demonstrate, in addition to increasing the sustainability of aquifer exploitation, the applicability of Machine Learning in other areas of water management.
