Water eco-innovation: solutions for a sustainable future in the Llobregat Delta

On 15 May, the town councils of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, Gavà, Sant Boi de Llobregat and Castelldefels organised the conference  Water Eco-innovation: solutions for a sustainable future in the Llobregat Delta. The event brought together administrations, companies and entities from the territory to address the main challenges related to water management in a context marked by the scarcity of the resource and the effects of climate change. The presentations revolved around how to integrate sustainable business strategies to improve water efficiency, reduce environmental impact and promote technological innovation.

The Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) participated with a speech by its director, Xavier Amores, who presented a global vision of the water transition and the tools needed to move towards more resilient management adapted to new climate scenarios. In addition, several entities associated with the cluster, such as Keiken, Senssal Solutions and Dr. Canicio, presented emerging technologies and success stories that are already being applied to optimize the water cycle, from solutions for advanced treatment to intelligent monitoring and control systems.
