Presentation of the results of the Cosme Water Footprint project. Calculation of the organizational water footprint of the cosmetics sector

Event to present the results of the Cosme Water Footprint project, which aimed to adapt and validate the methodology for calculating the organizational water footprint of the cosmetics, perfumery, and personal care sector.

Cosme Water Footprint emerged from the analysis carried out in response to the lack of information and knowledge for properly measuring the sectoral water footprint of cosmetics through the previous COSM-EAU project.

This new project has laid the foundations for the future development of a specific digital tool that will allow the calculation of the water footprint of companies in the perfumery and cosmetics sector, both at organizational and product level. It would be the first software specifically designed for the sector with this purpose, representing an innovation at a global scale.

Over the past few months, we have been working on the implementation of the first phase of the project, in collaboration with a focus group of perfumery and cosmetics companies, and the results will be presented at the event on April 10.
