Next November 30, the VIII Strategic Immersion of the CWP will take place at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona). We will talk about the drought, inspiring international experiences and talent in organizations.
The event will begin with a presentation by Samuel Reyes, Director of the Catalan Water Agency, under the name “Water and climate emergency: transversal strategies and intersectoral collaboration to guarantee water and development” . Also, Sarai Sarroca, Director of the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, will talk to us about “The current state of the drought in Catalonia”. Finally, and as a closing, we will be able to listen to Oriol Montanyà, professor at Pompeu Fabra University and columnist for La Vanguardia, who will explain the “Organizational keys to attract and enhance talent”.
In addition to the presentations, this year we have prepared a round table to learn about international experiences in advanced water ecosystems and countries from which to learn about related initiatives in water management such as California in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa or Japan will be the protagonists. Together with experts who have extensive experience in these countries: Antoni Ventura, Manager of Aigües de Manresa, Jordi Verdés, Executive Officer of Kurita Group, Josep Sellas, Director of ADASA’s Digital Product Area, Maite Pijuan, Responsible from ICRA’s Technologies and Evaluation Area, Manel Salvadó, CEO of INFOSA and Marc Texidó, Researcher at IDAEA-CSIC and associate professor at UPC, to have a global vision of the challenge of managing the water This panel will be moderated by Ester Vilanova, Head of Digital Solutions at Amphos 21.
