Communication and Leadership

The session aims to help participants carry out these three acts of communication in a constructive way, providing specific tools for each one.
We will work with conceptual models that support each case and engage in practice exercises based on participants’ professional realities.

Concepts:

• Introduction: The value of communication in leadership
• The three basic acts of leadership communication. When and how to perform them.
• Effective instructions: How to give instructions that are clear and followed, while addressing the different styles of team members. We will work with the conceptual foundation of the BRIDGE Relational Styles model.
• Assertive feedback: How to give feedback that is well received, drives behavioral change, and creates a positive impact. How to balance positive and negative feedback. We will work with the conceptual foundation of the Assertive Feedback Model.
• Growth conversations: How to hold regular conversations that support people’s professional growth. How to foster motivation and reflection on areas for improvement. We will work with the conceptual foundation of the “3R” Model (Recognition, Resources, Challenge).
• The value of recognition in team management: When and how to provide meaningful recognition.
