The CWP participates for the fourth consecutive year in the Korea International Water Week 2024
This year the Catalan Water Partnership has participated once again in the Korea International Water Week, an annual event held in Deagu (Republic of Korea), which in this edition has taken place from 13 to 16 November. This event has been focused on building a smart future.for water management, with the aim of sharing experiences and technologies and encouraging debate on long-term actions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Within the program of the event, the participation of Jordi Cros, president of the CWP, in two key sessions stands out. On the one hand, on November 13, within the framework of the 5th World Water Cluster Leaders Forum, the session “Sustainable financial and operational models for water clusters” took place where Jordi Cros presented the Catalan Water Partnership as a success story, sharing a presentation with Dr. Barry Liner, chief technical director of the American cluster The Water Council, who gave the presentation entitled “Diverse, yet focused: effective and efficient water innovation program”. Afterwards, both speakers participated in a round table organized around the same theme where they were accompanied by Dr. Ikhoon Choi, vice president of the Korean Society on Water Environment, Dr. Colin Chung, CEO of Kayuga Solutionv and Mr. Dongchang Kim, deputy director of the Korea Water Cluster.
On November 14th, Jordi Cros, representing the CWP, spoke at the “Global Technology and Knowledge Exchange Seminar” within the session “Water Cluster’s Global Program”, where water clusters from various regions of the world were presented, including the Catalan Water Partnership. The president of the Catalan water cluster shared the space with Mr. Panu Jouhkimo, project manager of ELY Centre, Dr. Barry Liner, chief technical director of The Water Council and Mr. Ben Jorgensen, project manager of the CLEAN cluster. The event concluded with another round table that allowed participants to deepen the exchange of knowledge. The table was moderated by Professor Sungpyo Kim from Korea University and was joined by Dr. Subekti, Executive Director of PERPAMSI and Mr. Yongsu Lee, Deputy Director of the Korea Water Cluster.
Once again, Korea International Water Week has been a successful international meeting point, where global entities from the water sector, the public sector and private companies have found a platform for the presentation of news, the exchange of knowledge, networking and the debate on global challenges.
