First Catalan Working Group of the European WatEnerWine project held
On June 19th, the first Catalan Working Group of the European project WatEnerWine was held in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. This initiative aims to promote more efficient water and energy management in the wine sector. It was the first of four workshops planned throughout the project and focused on identifying needs, challenges and opportunities linked to sustainability and the adoption of renewable energy sources.
The session, organized by INNOVI, Eurecat and CWP, combined a presentation of the project’s objectives with a participatory workshop where various industry stakeholders shared experiences and insights. The contributions gathered will help create a joint diagnosis and define concrete actions tailored to the reality of wineries.
The conclusions of this first workshop will guide the work of the upcoming groups and help identify transferable best practices, contributing to greater competitiveness and sustainability in the sector. With this foundation, WatEnerWine positions itself as a key project for moving towards a more resilient and resource-efficient wine industry.
